In the early summer of 2013 the Government announced that any community-led development could potentially be eligible for help with funding to get it to planning permission stage.

Community groups keen to see more self build homes in their area are now able to apply for a slice of this money through the £17m Community Led Project Support fund. This was previously known as the Community Right to Build Seedcorn Fund.
